    1. Hi.
No, unfortunately. Why do you ask?

    2. I was thinking if you done a new version of x-link95.
A very old and outdated software for xplorer :P

  2. Just curious, but is there a way to convert gme to mcr?

    1. Sure. Just open .gme card and use File->Save as and select .mcr format.

  3. Just curious, the program supports multiple card formats, but which one most closely represents the official memory card Eprom data format?

  4. That's strange. DexDrive should automatically turn off...
Are you using power adapter and/or USB to Serial adapter?

  5. how to change from .gme format to .psv format so I can play a psone game on my ps3 which has the psone game on it

  6. I'm using the standard power adapter that came shipped with the item, and the standard RS-232 (DB9, Not USB) serial cable. Now I have this [ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812107465 ] item attached to it.

  7. Hi, Shendo!

I'm a very happy user of Memcardrex but still two features that would easy my gaming...

...batch export individual save files in a Memory Card to RAW files...

...and VMC Memory Card support - Virtual Memory Card used in uLaunchELF and OpenPS2Loader (from PS2SDK).

I like your software! Thanks for creating Memcardrex!

    1. Hi. Thanks for your support.
No, there is no android version available.
But I released the source so if anyone is willing to port it it's possible.

  12. Hi Shendo,

thank you very much for create and update MemCardRex, is the one i uses always
for manage my save games and memory cards.
I love the clean GUI, stability and efficiency of the program.

You could add support to the file extension of .VMC (Virtual Memory Card) used in
    the POPS emulator for PS2?

    Best regards

    1. Thanks for your support.

I can add that option, yes.
Unfortunately I'm a bit busy at the moment so I can't add
a lot to the project to warrant a release.

Are you comfortable with compiling C# application from source?

      Delete
    2. Thank you very much for your reply, really appreciated.

I don't know how to compile, but i can ask to the person who is developing
the POPS emulator, and he can compile the program with your added support
for the POPS VMC's if you can provide the stuff needed for compiling.

      Best regards.

    4. The option called "PS3 virtual Memory Card *.VM1" works in POPS PS2! You only have to rename the obtained file into SLOT0.VMC and transfert it in your PS2 in the directory where the saves are: hdd0:/__common/POPS/

      Delete
    5. Thank you for the response, but is not needed rename nothing, is possible open the VMC choosing the option "all files", and then the VMC appears visible in the windows explorer of the program for open it.

  13. Hi Shendo, great software. Any chance for PocketStation support via PSXCardLink please? Currently it seems to hang when trying to read any SCPH-4000 device.

    Many thanks, Aergan.

    1. Thanks for your support.

It seems like PocketStation behaves a little differently then regular MemoryCards which
is enough to throw my projects off.
People reported the same thing using MemCARDuino.

Does it hang on a particular frame each time, random frame or it doesn't start at all?
Also, have you tried reading with gamepad disconnected?

      Delete
    2. Thanks for getting back to me so soon.

It initiates reading data, then freezes. If the PocketStation is displaying any animation at the time (e.g. clock & heartbeat) or outputting the greeting sound, it will slow down to a crawl on the device itself: https://youtu.be/Xz35bcwn4G4
MemcardRex 1.8 sits at "Reading data from PS1CardLink (ver. 1.0)..." indefinitely.
Gamepad removed / present has no affect I'm afraid. Likewise, slot 1 or slot 2 has no affect either.
Once frozen, I can pull out the PocketStation and insert a standard SCPH-1020 memory card and it will resume reading the new card successfully.
Other devices like: Xplorer ROM 4.52, Caetla ROM 0.34 & PS1 7502 BIOS recognise it and read/write ok. Other software works OK via parallel I/O (slow), but are no where near as convenient or as sophisticated as PS1CardLink.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help or test

    3. Hm... I see.

I can write a few tests for you to run so we can iron out the problem.
But that won't be for a while unfortunately as I'm not home so I don't have access to my setup.

    4. Give me a shout if/when you have something and I'll be happy to test.

    5. Sorry to reply so late, and after you dropped support, but I get this same issue with my Dexdrive and my pocketstation, and I was wondering if you had any ideas?

      Delete
    6. Currently I'm still just copying the contents to a stock memory card then copying them back to the PocketStation within native memory card management tools. It's a long winded process.

    1. Yes. You can use a DexDrive, PS1CardLink or an Arduino based MemCARDuino.
Check hardware directory in the root of the MemcardRex directory.

  18. Hello

Has it occurred to you to do something similar with the "Memory Card" from "PlayStation 2" with the same DexDrive and Arduino?

    I wait your answer.

  19. Hi Shendo, thanks for the excellent software :-)

I am struggling, however, to get the BCLoader plugin to work. No matter what file I read (even off a PS1 mem card directly using the MemCARDuino) I always get an error message from Black Chocobo saying that it's a "non Final Fantasy VII slot". What could I be doing wrong?

The files load fine if I save them with MemcardRex then load them up separately in BC, but I just can't get the plugin to work :-(

    Thanks for any help.

    1. Hi. Sorry for the late reply.
You are correct, BlackChocobo reports the save as invalid.
Seems like single save detection mechanism was changed in BlackChocobo.
I'm working on a fix for the plugin.

All the best, and thanks again for a lovely piece of hardware/software in the memcarduino - it is excellent for transferring my saves between PSP and PS1 consoles.

      Cheers!

Can you make from scratch using only the part of the DexDrive in Visual C #?

With your comments. If possible, all message and progress bar in the same window or form.

Would your software work? I want to convert a game save i have in the PS3 to game save i can use in Xebra. It's Final Fantasy 9. Once i'm done doing what i gotta do on Xebra. Then i want transfer the game save back to the PS3.

    I have two a fat ps3 and slim ps3.

    Would Memcardrex work for this?

    1. For PS3 it will only work in one direction, PS3 -> PC as files are digitally signed.
For PS1 and PS2 it will work in both ways.

  23. Also do you know by any chance if gamesharks work on PS3s? I've heard all sorts of answers. But nothing that shows it's true.

  25. This software is a Godsend! I'm having a bit of trouble, though. I can write to DexDrive using a USB adapter, but it can't seem to read and just sits at 0%. I'm using a PocketStation in particular. Is it unsupported at this time? Are there port settings I need to tweak?

    1. Currently doesn't work with PocketStations (See my comment to Shendo a couple of years ago). You'll have to copy the saves to a normal memorycard, transfer to PC / from PC to memorycard then copy back to the PocketStation on the PlayStation.
